WFU Lobby Day in Madison
Mark your calendars!
This is the perfect opportunity to talk with your state elected officials about the issues that affect rural communities and small/medium farmers.

National Farmers Union Convention – Oklahoma City, OK
Take this opportunity to learn from policy makers and legislators about current issues. There is plenty of time for networking with fellow FU members too.

Biochar Workshop
This will feature Biochar ring of fire kiln demonstration and farmer-to-farmer discussions on various methods for using biochar. The DNR and NRCS will be on had to talk about the benefits of biochar and how to use it on your farm and in your garden. The movie “The Need to Grow” will also be shown to give you an overview of BioChar.
Free and open to all.

Summer Camp
SCWFU Summer Day Camp is open to all (membership not required) for up to 25 kids ages 7-12. The day camp is free and includes lunch at Still Point Flower Farm, Brooklyn, WI. Programming included learning about farming, farm cooperatives, fun and games. Registration will open in April, 2025. Check back for more information and scroll own for photos from last year’s camp.

Summer Picnic Auction and Potluck
Join together for our classic summer picnic social event and fundraiser to see friends, swap stories, eat great potluck food, and bid on an large array of auction items. Take time out for fun and help raise money for our chapter.

Harvest Fest Annual Meeting
Come share your farming and rural issues while learning the issues your chapter and state organizations are fighting for. Bring your favorite dish to share, cast your vote in the SCWFU Board election, and bring copies of your favorite recipe to swap!
