Policy & Advocacy

The Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) develops policy in a grassroots fashion, utilizing two types of resolutions: policy amendments and Special Orders of Business (SOBs). These policies are developed at the chapter level and brought forth at the WFU’s annual state convention.

How is Policy developed at SCWFU?

South Central works on policy resolutions for consideration at the state convention. SCWFU’s Policy Committee spends time talking to members and studying issues before drafting policy statements that our members then vote on.  Any member interested in shaping our chapter’s policy is invited to be a part of the Policy Committee.  Contact Policy Chair, Sheila Everhart at sheilageverhart@gmail.com.

Chapter Delegate

Our chapter is represented at Convention by delegates who go to the convention and vote on our issues. Any member of the SCWFU chapter can serve as a delegate to discuss and vote on policy at the state convention. Contact Convention Delegate leader Sheila Everhart at sheilageverhart@gmail.com.
